Moon over the Mountain

The first night in Banff, we wandered down main street to discover the moon rising on top of the one mountain.. I love how all 3 pictures show something slightly different..

PRONGHORN!!!

Just past Kindersley Sk, we spotted a group of the very adorable Pronghorn!!! (Sorry the pictures are not quite the best - was very overcast and windy)
A pair of males were off to the side fighting..

A rather large group of them, minding their own....

Till they got spooked, and Away they ran!!!

This was my very first time spotting them!! Was an inspiring sight to see them fighting and running.. I hope to see them again soon!

Cat in a Box

I rarely see our cats in boxes... but we got some stuff in these nicely sized ones, tossed the boxes outside, and before I knew it, we had three cats fighting over them!!

Road Trip Birds

OK, So admittedly we did not see too many types of birds.. We saw one HUGE flock of Snow Geese
(These 3 were part of it).. A few Horned Larks dashing about...

This rather grumpy looking Rough Legged Hawk was hanging around..

Found another large flock of Snow Geese rather close to the road.. A few Greater White Fronted Geese were in there as well.

We also spotted a pair of Common Goldeneye, and a Merganser of some sort

This last set of bubbles had a very beautiful sheen of rainbow in them!!

So, there I was, driving down the road when I spotted it... Brown and white.. HAWK!!! I stealthily come back... and take a few shots.. Only to discover... a clump of dirt... and snow...

The Mountain Bluebird

After Leaving Kenosee on April 1, I went for a drive looking for the beautiful Bluebird.. I was very Happy to spot a pair of them who didnt seem to mind my presence!!

My lovely followers - I have a trail of kitties following me everytime I go outside.. Especially for bird watching and hoarfrost hunting... they seemed to really enjoy going for walks!

Two Canada geese objecting to the presence of another... (They hit the ice, skidded across, and knocked down the other goose!!)

Sunset Bubbles

Later on in my bubble day, Terry and I went for a nice walk.. He very kindly supplied me with some bubbles...

Bubbly Bubbly Bubbles!!!

Not all my bubbles turned out perfect.. Some had extra bubbles attached, some had little dots of bubbles... I think they were kind of interesting in their own ways!!

Floating Bubbles

So, Once it warmed up, I decided to try some Unfrozen bubbles!! After a few tries at wielding the bubble wand AND camera, I had a kind volunteer I compelled into helping me.. (Thanks Ken!!)

After a few tries, I think we got the hang of it!!

We were standing on the deck, and in the reflection on the bubble you can see the railings and everything!! Too cool!!

A little bit of photoshop tinkering really brings out the colours
